365 Grateful – Days 234 to 236

365 Grateful – Day 234:  More and more I find myself inspired by nature.  Lately I am enjoying and photographing all different shaped and coloured leaves.  I love this leaf of a plant (the name of the plant escapes me at the moment) in my backyard and such […]

365 Grateful – Days 230 to 233

365 Grateful – Day 230:  Due to events over the last 12 months, my creativity had taken a bit of a holiday.  I’m grateful that a creative idea for my blog popped into my head.  It may only be small.  It may still be under development … but […]

365 Grateful – Days 227 to 229

365 Grateful – Day 227:  Grateful to have all the family home for dinner to celebrate MrMM’s birthday! The photograph today is one of MrMM’s birthday gifts (Inferno by Dan Brown) and a selection of birthday cards. 365 Grateful – Day 228:  Every once in a while, I […]

365 Grateful – Days 223 to 226

365 Grateful – Day 223:  Grateful for a lovely catch up with a friend for brekky at a new local cafe which is awesome. On Thursday I met up with a friend for coffee and breakfast at a cafe we hadn’t met at before.  It’s called Jimbo & […]

365 Grateful – Day 178

It’s another nature photo today.  I spent some time today watering the plants out on and near the front patio and out in the back pergola area.  They had been neglected and were showing signs of distress (oops!).  You know when you have a lot of rainy weather […]

365 Grateful – Day 175

My grateful photo’s often are of things in nature.  As I’ve got older, I notice nature more.  Nature is beautiful, soothing and actually quite therapeutic!  It makes me happy.  I see amazing things that when I was younger would never have been noticed.  Some are typically beautiful (like […]

365 Grateful – Day 130

This is an Agave in a pot by my pool.  I love the shapes, the colours, the smooth lines.  They are such hardy plants.  Drought tolerant in fact, which is perfect here in Queensland where we can go long periods without rain (though we sure got our fair […]

365 Grateful – Day 116

I’m grateful for big, strong, sturdy, shade providing gorgeous trees! This tree is at a park at nearby Lota.  It caught my attention at first because of its interesting bark and colouration.  Then I admired its size and how solid and strong it was.  I think it is […]

365 Grateful – Day 112

I’m grateful for the new growth on this Frangipani (otherwise known as Plumeria), evidence it is flourishing.  It was a cutting from my mother’s garden.  It is ready to be planted in the ground.  I just need to work out the right spot for it! 🙂
