A trip down ‘Statistical Lane’

I thought I would pay homage to MinsMash before she shuts her doors in the form of a trip down ‘Statistical Lane’.

Don’t worry it won’t be too boring. Statistical Lane has cute cafe’s and pretty gardens AND I’ll keep it brief! 😉

Firstly, who remembers this banner image that I used at the top of the very first version of MinsMash that was created in September 2012?  I didn’t know much about photography back then!!

These stats were correct at the time of typing this post (Wednesday 29 October @ 8:30am) but of course will change very quickly!

It is also comforting to see that people found information on my blog about the Wynnum Manly area in Brisbane, as that was one of my main focus areas when I first started the blog (blogging about my local area).

Amazing to think that the one post I did called ‘Teenage Parties Gone Wild’ brought so many Fonzie fans to my blog! Yet interestingly, that post didn’t get any comments!

I know a lot of people hate that word ‘journey’ but I have to use it on this occasion! It has been an amazing journey for me since 19 September 2012 when I hit ‘publish’ on my first post of MinsMash. I knew absolutely nothing about blogging. Lucky I didn’t because if I did I think fear might have taken hold and I wouldn’t have had the courage.

MinsMash has taught me a lot about myself. Heaps of stuff! It has also lead to me meeting some wonderful people all across Australia – some IRL and some in bloggy land! It opened my eyes to a love of photography and led to me studying to obtain a Diploma of Professional Photography.

It’s time now to move on to fresh new beginnings but I will always remember MinsMash with fondness and gratitude for what it gave to me.
