It was Mother’s Day last Sunday! Did you get spoiled? Have the day off from cooking? Brekky in bed? I was spoiled with a lovely brekky in bed (bacon, eggs, tomato) and some gorgeous Lillies and a Pandora Gift Card! 🙂
My sisters, daughter and I spent the day with Mum on the Saturday. They all came to my place for morning tea, we went out for lunch and back to my sisters for afternoon tea.
Here are a couple of snaps of the beautiful Lillies I was given.
I’m excited about the future I’m trying to create for myself …. slowly but step by step. As well as very much looking forward to getting my new computer, I’m brainstorming at the moment over a name for my planned photography business. You can see on the photo’s above I am currently trying out ‘MG Photography’. I don’t think it will be around much longer – just saying!! I’ve asked my sister who is the Marketing Manager for a big company to give me a hand in deciding on a name. Gotta love having rellies in careers that come in handy at times! Also, her Graphic Designer has agreed to some freelance work and will be creating a logo and watermark for me, once we’ve decided on a name of course! I put on my professional hat and wrote a brief (do you know how long it has been since I have written a brief?!) outlining what I was after, what the meaning behind my photography is, what message I want to get across, what logo’s I do and don’t like etc.
I’m still making my way through my photography studies. Life has a habit of getting in the way at times but slowly and surely I am getting there. I submitted the Module 7 assignment last night and can now move on to Module 8. There are only 4 more assignments to go!!
I’ve sneaked a peak at the Module 8 assignment (before reading through the module) and looks like no photograph required for this one. This one is all about shopping! Check this out:
Describe, in no more than 500 words, the type of photographic work you would ultimately like to be doing and write a list of all the major equipment you would like to own.
Break it down into:
- Lighting equipment
Adjacent to each piece of equipment write a short explanation justifying the purchase of this piece of equipment to your wife, husband, partner or bank manager – whoever is the scariest.
This is an important exercise and lots of time and thought should go into researching it. Here, you have an opportunity for me to really steer you onto the right path. Please make the most of it.
Who would be the scariest person that you would have to justify your purchases to? I’m keeping my lips sealed on this one! 😉
Busy May continues! We have a sister-in-law’s birthday on 15 May, a niece’s birthday on 18 May, my hubby’s birthday on 20 May and my big birthday on 31 May. Yes people, I am in the last days of my 40’s – in fact I have just over 2 weeks left. That makes it sound like I am dying or something. I think I am actually ready to enter my 50’s. I’ve certainly given it a lot of thought over the last couple of years!! On 3 June MrMM and I go away up to Montville for 3 nights – my birthday present to myself. I cannot wait!
Ciao for now,
