Well hello there!  There are only two more sleeps until Christmas!  I cannot believe it!  I don’t know about your part of the world, but here in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia … it is hot and humid!  I don’t handle heat well … so I am thankful we have airconditioning and a pool to help me survive the summer!  I don’t like being hot but I do love swimming in the pool.

It’s been several days since my last blog post so I thought I’d pop in and fill you in on what’s been happening in the MinsMash world and also to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a happy & healthy 2014!

Since my last blog post I have been to a couple of Christmas catch up dinners out, a Christmas catch up brunch with a friend and today had a Christmas catch up lunch with another friend.

I planted my new seeds into some pots (to be transferred to the garden beds after they have sprouted) and have some left over to put into some more pots!

I’ve been doing quite a bit of floating around in the pool … and some feeble attempts at aqua aerobics in the pool (haha).  Here’s a blurry phone photo I posted on Instagram of my lovely pool floater (whatever you call those things).  It is heaven on that thing I tell you!

I do a lot of thinking when I’m cooling off in the pool, floating around and even during my feeble aqua aerobic attempts!  It’s mostly about my future plans.  As I described in this post – it’s all about understanding your passions and purpose and moving forward from there.  I am still nutting out things and even though I could do with a tad more confidence in myself, I am very, very determined.  In conversations with others, where I share my dreams and plans, I sometimes (often!) get the distinct feeling that they think I’m a rambling lunatic with pipe dreams that will never become a reality.  I want to show them that they are wrong.  I want to prove to myself that if I believe, it will happen.

It can rattle you a bit when people don’t share your enthusiasm.  It’s times like this that I turn to others for inspiration and strength to restore and empower myself with confidence and self belief.  The ‘others’ I refer to are other bloggers/business people.  There are too many to name but wow – there are some amazing women out there that have done exactly what I want to do.  They have left the working life they have always known and have successfully recreated themselves.  They are so much happier and fulfilled having done so because they are living the life they are meant to.  They are their authentic selves.  I want to join their tribe!  So – I float and I think believing thoughts 🙂

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I have decided to treat myself to a spa pedicure and maybe also a browze around the local shops for a nice cool new dress for Christmas day.  This will probably be followed by a cool off and float in the pool …. coupled of course with loads of believing, planning and goal setting thoughts for my fabulous 2014! 😉
