I’m grateful to a very special friend of mine, who is a fabulous artist and a fabulous person, for giving up two whole days of her precious weekends to teach me how to paint on ceramic tiles. Today’s photograph is of three painted tiles, framed and on the wall in my house. They are three different coloured Geranium’s. My friend who works full-time, not only gave up two whole days of her weekends but she gave me full access to all her art supplies, she fired my tiles in her kiln, she helped with framing it and she advised on the technique needed to paint on tiles – very different to regular painting and much harder than it looks!
